CHILDREN'S Hospice South West has received a New Year boost from diners at Gorton's Restaurant in Tavistock recently.
Peter Gorton and his staff were thrilled to hand over a cheque for £1,264, which had been donated by their customers at the restaurant's charity lunches for the charity's hospice Little Harbour.
Peter said he was pleased to be able to help local families with life limited children who are using Little Harbour near St Austell.
Local fundraiser Judy Pride went to Gorton's to receive the donation and was amazed by the amount raised in such a short time: 'This makes a real difference to Children's Hospice South West.
'It's wonderful to see that customers at Gorton's Restaurant have thought about our families who may be facing a challenging time over the next few weeks and months.'
