DAISY the cow and the 'Love My Devon' team have been on an adventurous, fun-filled road trip across the county visiting Brentor-based children's charity CHICKS along the way.
CHICKS (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids) were visited by the team while on tour to encourage people to holiday in this county.
Helen Blackman from the Love My Devon campaign, organised by tourism marketing body 'Visit Devon', said: 'CHICKS enables children from disadvantaged backgrounds to experience the joys of the countryside in a safe and caring environment.
'We think that CHICKS does an amazing job, so we wanted to raise awareness for the charity as we travel around the country this January.'
Jo Westerman, community fundraiser at CHICKS, said: 'We were thrilled when Helen contacted us to let us know she was going to support us in this way.
'We provide respite breaks to disadvantaged children from all over the UK and are always seeking ways in which to raise our profile as much as possible both locally and nationally. This year, we are making a special appeal to community groups, schools and businesses to adopt us as their charity of the year and have recently launched a schools fundraising pack which can be downloaded from the Get Involved/Community section of our website.'
