DEVON Doctors is now providing the ?out of hours? GP service in Lifton, replacing Kernow Doc. Lifton will receive out of hours cover on weekday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays from Devon Doctors. Chris Wright, chief executive of Devon Doctors, said: ?Devon Doctors is in its tenth year of providing out of hours services in Devon so we are very experienced in this area. As far as patients in Lifton are concerned, nothing has changed and they will continue to receive a high standard of out of hours service.? For those needing treatment after their GP surgery has closed there are two choices: call Devon Doctors directly on 01392 824600 or call their GP surgery as usual and the out of hours number will be on the answerphone. Patients using the service will be offered the most appropriate location for treatment centre attendance. The South Hams and West Devon Primary Care Trust (PCT) is responsible for commissioning the out of hours service for the whole of South Hams and West Devon.
