Devon and Exeter Intermediate 1 Okehampton Seconds 3 Marjon D 5 IN the last game of the year, Okehampton were looking to get their first point of the season. After playing so well against the second side in the league in their last game, they were hoping to continue their form into this match. The first half saw Okehampton bombard the visitors' goal with Argyle's Mark Parsons and Nick Luxton both having shots saved — Luke Miller had a flick cleared off the line, and Jacob Lloyd failed to connect for a tap-in. But despite Argyle's domination it was the visitors who took the lead by half-time. Marjons doubled their lead straight after the break but Okehampton hit back when Lloyd deflected in a free kick. The opposition continued to look dangerous and scored a third before Parsons and Lloyd for Argyle combined to run through the visitors' half, ending with Parsons rounding the keeper to score. Marjons got a fourth but Parsons found Lloyd to slot home. Luxton shot wide for Argyle and Parsons failed to beat the keeper in a one-on-one. It was not to be for Argyle when the visitors got a fifth and killed the game. Despite the loss Argyle showed signs of continued improvement. l The next match for Okehampton Seconds is at home to Truro C on January 12.
