FOLLY GATE, four leagues lower than Hatherleigh, made them work hard, especially in the first half. Hatherleigh having all the possession could only manage an Andy Dennis goal following a goalmouth scramble.
The second half was different, with the visitors scoring two quick goals through Nathaniel Davey and Dennis, the latter volleying home from the edge of the box.
Hatherleigh went further ahead when Steve Parsons stepped up and curled a free kick into the bottom corner of the net from 30 yards.
Folly Gate replied with a well taken goal from Shane Leahy who slotted home after a mix up in the Hatherleigh defence.
Hatherleigh put the game beyond doubt when Davey nodded home an Endicott cross, and Dennis pounced on a keeper's error to score a hat-trick against his old club.
This week Hatherleigh are at home to Budleigh Salterton in the Devon and Exeter Premier League.
