FIFTEEN-Year-old World Record holder David Hill from Kelly College will be competing this week in the Paralympics in Athens.

David will be swimming in the 200m Individual Medley today (Thursday) and again in his best event the 100m Backstroke on Saturday.

The event will be shown on BBC Grandstand. David is the youngest member of the British Paralympics Team and currently holds 11 British Junior Records along with 2 Senior World records for the 50m Backstroke over both the short and long course events.

David?s best chance of a medal will be on Saturday in the 100m Backstroke where he is currently ranked 3rd in the World.

David?s coach Robin Brew said: ?This is a tremendous achievement for David to have made the team at such a young age, his next challenge is to make the finals. My goal is for him to swim his best and gain as much experience as possible, however, a bronze medal is within striking range of David?s ability and that would finish this season perfectly.?
