A WEST Devon man has been busy fundraising in anticipation of running the London marathon and his efforts, combined with the Burrator Inn and its customers, have seen him raise more than £1,000 so far.

Dan Cater, whose mother Sara Cater is landlady of the Burrator Inn, has raised £1,250 for Children's Hospice South West during the winter months.

Dan will be running the London Marathon on April 17 and the Burrator Inn showed him its support by holding a Darts Marathon last Saturday, followed by a Father Ted themed evening with a raffle and auction. To find out more go to the website at uk.virginmoneygiving.com/dancater
