A PLANNING application has been submitted by Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA)to extend one of its visitor centres, which, if approved, could provide jobs and further income to the area.

Last month, DNPA submitted an application for permission to build a single storey extension, a new entrance and ground floor exhibition space at its visitor centre in Postbridge, accessed from the B3212 between Princetown and Moretonhampstead.

The single storey extension would be positioned to the south of the current building and located on part of the existing car park, with the loss of three spaces from 67 to 64. The new entrance into the building would then be ‘centrally’ positioned between the existing building and extension’ and would be visually prominent from the site entrance.
