AFTER more than 33 years' service with Dartmoor National Park Authority and 16 years as chief executive, Dr Nick Atkinson has announced his forthcoming retirement in September. The authority is now seeking a new chief executive to work for and in one of Britain's protected landscapes. Nigel Hoskin, chairman of the Dartmoor National Park Authority, said he felt the authority had gained a deserved reputation for on the ground delivery and strength of partnership working, under the leadership of Dr Atkinson.
