A WEST Devon dance school has cause to celebrate, with pupils passing their exams with flying colours.

Footsteps Dance School, in Okehampton and Yelverton, had 31 pupils pass their last set of dance exams.

The students have studied hard for more than a year and in October took their tap, jazz and modern Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing exams.

Principal and teacher Mandy Williams is extremely proud of all her pupils. She said: 'It is a wonderful achievement as for many six and seven year olds it was their first time, and for the older students, the exams just get harder and harder. A second mention should go to all the pupils of the Yelverton branch. They recently staged a colourful and varied winter dance show at the Woolwell Centre in November.'

Mandy expressed thanks to everyone involved for making the show such a success.
