Queens 1

St Anns Chapel 3

ST ANNs played their way to only their third away win of the season

Steve Aggett was again the main provider — he tied the full back in knots before cutting the ball back for Darren Smalley to score his fifth goal in five games.

Queens kept trying but could not trouble keeper Dave Bailey thanks to Chapel's strong defending.

Early in the second half striker Kevin Darlington made it 2-0 after some clever footwork.

Queens got it back to 2-11, but centre back Andy Dance restored the two goal lead after bursting through a crowded penalty area to stab the ball home.

The heavy pitch was taking its toll and the only real effort of note was a spectacular diving header from midfielder Moby Wilkinson after a quality cross from Martin Sampson.

Man of the match: Andy Dance.

This week Chapel travel to Godolphin to try to avenge a defeat earlier in the season.
