A NURSE from Lifton is sparking a return to the forties for a charity dinner dance evening in October.

Marie Curie carer Trish Clements, along with friend Ruth Barkwell, has organised the dance and pasty supper evening to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care ? a charity which provides free home-based care for terminally ill patients and their families.

The money raised will go to help Marie Curie nurses in the West Devon area who are in desperate need of funds to continue their work in the region.

The dance will be held at Lifton Coronation Hall on Saturday October 9.

Trish and Ruth hope that many guests will join them from 7.30pm onwards to enjoy old favourites from Glenn Miller to Vera Lynn.

Tickets for the evening cost £4.50 including food and can be obtained by contacting Trish on 01566 784921 or Ruth on 01566 775426.
