PART of the 15th century bridge at Horsebridge, which is a major road crossing over the River Tamar, was accidentally damaged on June 9. An engineering team from Cormac were clearing away debris from the recent floods for Cornwall Council, when a small section of the bridge parapet wall was damaged. The council said it would soon be repairing the bridge back to its original condition. Paul Allen, Cormac East Network manager, said: 'Whilst carrying out works to remove debris from the recent floods at Horsebridge, a small section of the bridge parapet wall has unfortunately been damaged. This will be repaired by Cormac Solutions Ltd in due course at no expense to the tax payer.'
