AS MANY as 15 to 20 new cycle racks are expected to be installed in Tavistock over the next few months.

Tavistock BID (Business Improvement District) has purchased new cycle racks and is working with Devon County Council heritage officers to find suitable sites.

BID manager Lisa Wadling said:'We are looking at the locations of existing racks and new locations that have been suggested.

'Tavistock is part of so many cycle routes, both in the UK and internationally, and we want to encourage more cyclists into the town and make it easier for them to stop here.

'The racks need to be in places that accessible to shops and services in the town.'
