TWO Okehampton businesses are the first in the area to be awarded membership of a scheme aimed at promoting the highest standards of customer care.
Donald?s in Fore Street and Ink Print Ltd of Station Road are now proud members of Devon County Council?s Customer First scheme, having demonstrated they meet the top standards of trading demanded by the scheme.
Don Rooke of Donald?s said: ?We are very proud to have been awarded this certificate. We always hope that we provide a good service and it?s good to have that recognised.?
Ian Bailey, director of Ink Print Ltd, said: ?I didn?t know anything about this scheme until we were contacted by Trading Standards and told we have been nominated by a customer. Naturally, we are very pleased to receive this certificate.?
The Customer First scheme is in operation throughout Devon ? businesses which comply with the standards can be recognised by a window sticker.
