CURWORTHY Cheeses is one of the longest running businesses in the Okehampton area, having been producers for 28 years. They make their award winning cheeses at Stockbeare Farm in Jacobstowe, near Okehampton, a weekly shop at Hatherleigh market called The Cheese Pantry and also a store monthly at Okehampton Farmers' Market. The company offer many varieties of cheese from the traditional flavours like stilton to the more modern flavours like chilli. All their cheeses are made using the milk from their own cows on the farm. Rachel Stephens from Curworthy Cheeses said:?'We are most proud of their 2008 first place cheeses at Devon County Show.' Curworthy have won many awards at a collection of shows, including two thirds and a second place for three different cheese categories at this year's Devon County Show.
