HAVING walked round Tavistock last Friday, I found that Messrs Creber appeared to be the only establishment in Tavistock who had taken the trouble to recognise and celebrate the life and times of Admiral, Lord Horatio Nelson on this the 200th anniversary of his finest hour, the 21st of October 1805. And, this in a town where stands the statue of that other illustrious sea-dog, Sir Francis Drake! God help us if we cannot remember our heroic past with pride!
