ARGYLE crashed out of the Devon Intermediate Cup on a wet and windy afternoon at Simmons Park.

In the first half they were unable to cope with the pace of Colaton, allowing the visitors to race into a two goal lead. Argyle were given a lifeline on the stroke of half time when they were awarded a penalty kick. James Callaghan scored from the spot, making the scoreline 2-1.

Colaton rolled up their sleeves and came out fighting, soon putting the game beyond Argyle by scoring another three.

A further goal from Callaghan and a brace from Wilson closed the scoreline to 5-4, but Raleigh had the last laugh with another goal to make the final score 6-4 to the visitors.

Saturday: Mitre, away, 3pm kick off.
