CRAFTS produced by the villagers of Belstone go on display this weekend at the annual Belstone Craft Fair. Pottery made by village resident David Grundy is now recognised as Belstone-ware in a highly competitive cottage industry, the Australian-influenced embroidery and novelties of his neighbour, Sharon Gammie has gained increasing favour across the country and Ursula Radford's naive art that proved popular in her St Ives exhibition and her Devon creamwork embroidery first saw the light of day at previous fairs. Joining these exhibitors this year are a host of exponents of Batik, silk apparel, iron work and hand spun wool. The fair will again feature a popular 'village' stall and refreshments will be available throughout the day. The admission free fair takes place in Belstone Village Hall this Saturday (November 11), from 10.30am until 4.30pm.
