FLEDGLING entrepreneurs and wannabe entrepreneurs in West Devon are invited to apply for help from a pot of government cash to help the economy recover from covid.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) is offering a four-month intensive entrepreneurship programme for start-up or more established social enterprises, charities and community businesses. Participants receive practical learning, a grant up to £15,000, coaching and a supportive network. It’s free and mostly online between February and June 2022. Delivery partners Stir to Action are running a free start-up programme for people in Devon aged 18-30. They will support participants to set up their own enterprises with others, through workshops, residentials, consultancy and up to £1,000 start-up grant. New Prosperity Devon is offering support to social enterprises and other organisations in becoming ready to supply public sector employers with produce or services. The programme is funded by the Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund.
