FOUR plays for the price of one are being staged by the Courtenay Players at the Octagon Theatre next week.

The Courtenay Players return to the Octagon to put on ?Come 4 A Laugh? which features four funny one act plays.

The first play, ?Husbands Supplied? by Falkland Cary, takes place in an office where lonely ladies go to find themselves a husband.

We see them discussing what they want from a man and when one turns up things do not go entirely to plan.

?We Come Up From Mummerset? takes place in the studios of a live national radio station.

The actors arrive for a live broadcast of a popular radio programme, which some of the audience might recognise.

?Knit Yourself Something For The Weekend? by David Climie explores the world of possibilities for an evening out away from the pub.

?Magic? by Richard Harris takes place at visiting time in the female ward of a hospital.

The audience listen in on the feelings of the patients and the comforting words of relatives and friends.

Again, not everything goes to plan and some hospital humour ensues.

The four plays take place at the Octagon Theatre on July 23, 24 and 25, tickets are available from the Church 50/50 shop in the arcade.
