THE ranks of Mebyon Kernow ? the party for Cornwall ? have now been joined by Callington Town Cllr Andrew Long. ?I believe it is important to stand for the things you believe in,? said Cllr Long, a councillor for six years, and currently chairman of the town council?s planning committee. ?I believe in Mebyon Kernow, their policies and their vision for the future of Cornwall. So joining the party was the natural thing to do.? Cllr Long is vice-chairman of Callington Town Football Club and is active in the local twinning association. A fluent French speaker he is also learning Cornish and Estonian.
