WRECKER?S Morris round off another successful year with a music night on Saturday November 8.

It?s a post-bonfire night celebration at the Rising Sun, Gunnislake ? one of the side?s regular venues.

If the weather is right, Wreckers may also dance outside the front of the pub.

Wreckers has a large band of musicians - whose instruments include melodeon, guitar, mandolin, trombone and various forms of percussion.

?We have had some great music nights at the Rising Sun and we would like local musicians and singers to come and join in the fun,? said Wreckers squire Peter Gaffan.

It will be an informal evening. Bonfire Night-related fancy dress optional.

In their third full year, Wreckers have continued to attract new members and have completed a busy programme of appearances in Cornwall and Devon.

The side has also appeared at festivals around the south west and its reputation continues to grow.

?We are a vigorous, fun-loving side.

?We enjoy our dancing and like to put on a show. Audiences seem to enjoy what we do and we get great reaction wherever we perform,? said Peter.

During the year, Wreckers has introduced new dances and developed an all-round entertainment programme which includes morris dancing, music, song and folk dancing.

?We have so many talented people in our ranks we can now provide entertainment for a whole evening,? said Peter.

The side is now seeking bookings for its 2004 season.

New members are always welcome. Experience not necessary.
