A SHOPPING trip in Morrisons supermarket in Tavistock was more successful than the parents of Cory Chapman could imagine — he was crowned the Morrisons Christmas Baby.

Proud parents Rob Chapman and Hannah May, from Kelly Bray, entered four-month-old Cory into the Morrisons Christmas Baby and Toddler of the Year competition after seeing it advertised during a shopping trip in November.

Rob said: 'We were shopping in Morrisons one day and saw it advertised so we went back and entered him for it.

'We had four pictures taken when he was 16 weeks old, and we had to pick our favourite and upload it onto the SuperTot website.'

SuperTot hosted the competition on their website, where people had to vote for their favourite babies and toddlers, and the competition was advertised in Morrison's stores.

Cory was up against 41 other babies in the 0-9 months category.

Hannah said: 'We are very proud of our son for winning the baby competition at such a young age, and we would like to thank everyone who voted for him.'

After such success in his first competition, Hannah and Rob hope to enter Cory into many more.
