Bodmin Trophies Duchy division 3
Boscastle 0
Mary Tavy 7
THE referee was forced to call a temporary halt to this match after only 15 minutes as a helicopter circled above.
Unfortunately it was the Cornwall Air Ambulance picking up a nearby casualty.
Young Shaun James? goal seperated the teams in Tavy?s favour. The match was restarted after approximately 30 minutes as the patient was whisked away and both teams wish the person involved a speedy recovery.
The scoreline did not change that half but saw the scorer retire at the interval through injury.
With the slight advantage of the gradient in the second period Mary Tavy took control and played their best football of the season with Nick John, Sam Pridham and James Coole outstanding.
Pridham soon forced the second and a landslide was on the cards. Ben Stephens lobbed the third and Ian Hunter deservedly made it four.
With Dan Brockington commanding the midfield Alan Grylls, persistent throughout, made it five with the first of his brace. Coole added his name to the scoresheet and Grylls wrapped it up with the seventh.
