A KEEN competitions entrant from Lamerton has struck lucky after entering an energy-saving competition published in the Times last November.
Gill Wickett won the top prize of a £230 Whirlpool fridge freezer in the Heat Devon competition, which was run by West Devon Borough Council and SWEB.
Gill, who is a 'competitions addict', said the fridge freezer is the biggest prize she has ever won.
'I'm absolutely thrilled,' she said.
Under the Heat Devon scheme, which started in 2000, property owners can receive insulation grants of up to £200 per home, with energy saving measures including solar water heating, loft and cavity wall insulation.
For more information about Heat Devon, call freephone 0800 731 7116 or pick up a leaflet at the borough council offices in Okehampton or Tavistock.
