THERE were some tasty treats on offer at Hatherleigh Primary School when youngsters did their bit to help raise funds for the Haiti Earthquake appeal.

Pupils held a cake sale and a skipping challenge in the playground and raised £500 for the ShelterBox charity, which has been providing much needed help for the earthquake victims.

It was one of many efforts throughout the area in aid of the appeal.

Customers in Okehampton Post Office have also raised money for ShelterBox, and pupils of South Tawton School raised funds for the appeal.
