ON your front page last week you mention that an environmental impact assessment regarding the proposed power station at Winkleigh Airfield is about to begin, and that in due course a planning application will be submitted.
Both should include details of the routes that the 70 heavy lorries are expected to take every day to (and from) the plant. Likewise, details of how the apparently vast quantities of electricity generated will be conveyed away from it. It is essential that the power lines and pylons required should be considered from the start as an integral part of the project.
