Tavistock and District Conservation Project held an open day last week to celebrate its recent move to larger premises.
Having outgrown unit 5 at Pixon Lane, the organisation has moved into unit 6, which offers improved office, workshop and storage areas as well as a dedicated training space.
Staff were on hand at the open day to outline the project?s work in the area and to give advice on habitat conservation and wildlife gardening.
A range of organic produce, supplied by Riverford Organics, were on display and compost bins, waterbutts and wormeries were on sale at discounted prices.
Children enjoyed the chance to learn about nesting birds and build their own bird box in two special workshops.
