FOR those who want to gain a new qualification or develop a hobby, the West Devon Connect service can put you in touch with people who can help.

Devon Adult and Community Learning is just one of the organisations offering advice and information when West Devon Connect goes out and about this October.

Adult education advisors will be on hand at some of the roadshow events to explain what their service can offer, from arts and crafts to computing.

West Devon Connect, co-ordinated by West Devon Borough Council, is visiting rural communities with friendly, face-to-face advice and information about a range of public services.

Everyone is welcome to drop-in at the roadshow events which are taking place at Chagford, Exbourne, Hatherleigh, Princetown and Spreyton.

As well as advisors from the borough council, some of the events will host representatives from a range of organisations including South West Water, Oakhouse Foods and CALL 24, which offer support to residents, along with charities such as Action on Hearing Loss and Citizens Advice Bureau.
