AN evening of music will be provided at Tavistock Methodist Church to help raise funds for young people with muscular dystrophy. On Saturday, February 18 Launceston Male Choir and Derriford Hospital Choir will perform at the concert, starting at 7.30pm. Money raised will go towards Tavistock MD Group?s Respite Holiday Project. This provides a much needed holiday for local youngsters who have MD. MD is a muscle wasting disease and means sufferers need a wheelchair from an early age and have a short life expectancy, with most dying in their late teens to early twenties. The respite holiday is an enjoyable time for these youngsters and at the same time provides a break for their families and carers. Tickets for the concert cost £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children. They can be booked by calling Alison on 01822 810868, or available on the night.
