THE LATEST fundraising efforts of residents living on a Callington housing estate has enabled them to purchase a ShelterBox for the people of Haiti.

Those talented with a needle and thread on the Callington Village Collection made items like rag dolls, teddy bears and cotton shopping bags and these were sold at a coffee morning, cheese and wine evening and afternoon tea held on the estate.

Residents have also raised money for a children's home in Africa and to build up the coffers of the estate's gardening club, so bulbs, flowers and other plants can be bought to enhance the green spaces of the Village Collection.
