SINGING resonated from St Michael's and All Angels Church in Princetown recently as it played host to the annual community carol service.
The service, organised by HMP Dartmoor staff and community groups, saw the church full despite freezing temperatures.
The Rev Nick Shutt of the West Devon Benefice conducted the service along with Bill Birdwood from the prison chaplaincy, and the Morice Town Salvation Army Band accompanied the choir.
The church was beautifully decorated with a tree donated by the Duchy and Malcolm Waite.
Madame Monique and Monsieur Alain Sibiril, the French Consul based in Plymouth who has a long association with the church and prison, were also in attendance.
Visitors were warmed after the service with mulled wine and mince pies provided by the High Moorland WI.
