I WONDER if any of your readers have had their enjoyment of their home blighted by the current trend of parking commercial vehicles in residential areas.

We are having to put up with a large white company van parked within a few feet of the front of our house.

As the houses are set lower than the parking spaces in front of them, the van looms menacingly above us reaching to the level of our upstairs windows. This all results in less light and sun in our rooms, to say nothing of the hideous view out of them.

I am finding this situation very depressing and think there should be rules introduced to prevent these large unsightly vehicles parking in residential areas, especially when, often, the firms have a depot within the town.
