A small West Devon theatre company is looking for new members and backstage help.

Bere Peninsula Players is a small community theatre group. People keen to join do not need previous experience but a sense of fun and an outgoing nature would be an advantage. All abilities are welcome and ages between 11 years and grandparents are wanted on stage.

The group is also looking for backstage help as there are always sets to build, costumes to design and make, special effects, lighting and many other tasks.

The company is producing a pantomime for the new year and is short of players and helpers to fill some of the roles, so will be holding auditions in the near future.

Anyone keen to find out more can pop along to Bere Alston Parish Hall any Thursday between 6.30pm and 9pm to see what the company does, or even to join straight away.

There is a small membership fee to cover the cost of the hire of the hall.
