THE Tudors return to the National Trust?s Cotehele House near St Dominick for the fourth year this weekend to dance, sing, tell a tale and generally make merry. The Tudor re-enactment group, the Hungerford Household, will be re-enacting Tudor times in the garden throughout the day on June 3 and 4 and starting at 11am. Visitors will be able to see the day to day workings of a country gentleman?s household, including court and peasant dancing and textile work. For those who wish to get more involved, there will also be a chance to learn the Tudor dances. A variety of children?s events will also run over the weekend, such as learning to weave and tassel making. Charmian Saunders, Cotehele?s Visitor Services Manager said: ?This living history experience is an event not to be missed. Our young visitors in particular love the hands-on experience of spinning, dancing and meeting a ?real? Tudor.? Admission to the gardens are free for National Trust members and children under five. Non-member rates are £4.80 for adults and £2.40 for children under the age of 17.
