SOUTH West Lakes Trust is offering another action packed event for wildlife enthusiasts at Burrator Reservoir this weekend.

On Saturday (November 5) the trust is holding a community action and volunteering day.

People interested in joining in with the Burrator Action Day should meet in the arboretum car park at 10.30am.

Volunteers will carry out a range of practical tasks in the arboretum, so are asked to wear warm clothes and sturdy footwear, and bring lunch. The trust will provide tea and biscuits, and the event will run until 3.30pm.

On Sunday, children aged between 8 and 12 are invited to join a free Wildlife Watch session.

As part of the Burrator Historic and Natural Environment Project, South West Lakes Trust, are piloting a new Wildlife Watch Group at Burrator Reservoir.

The taster session runs from 10am to 1pm and young people will get the opportunity to go bug hunting, pond dipping and go on a woodland trail as well as many other activities. Parents are also welcome.
