A MEETING is being held in Okehampton next week where people can give their views on local healthcare.

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust provides healthcare for many in the Okehampton community and values local views and feedback.

There will be a chance to give views on healthcare at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital as well as to learn more about the ongoing work at the hospital.

The meeting is in the Ockment Centre, Okehampton, on September 3 from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Martin Perry, who is the local RD and E governor for Okehampton, will be attending the meeting to hear people's opinions and answer questions.

He said: 'I urge the Okehampton community to attend this next constituency meeting, where a fascinating demonstration will be given, illustrating new services, signage and methods by which the RD and E will improve facilities for all forms of disabled patients and those patients with special requirements.

'Not only will members of the public have an opportunity to see these developments and new facilities but they will hear the latest news from the trust and will have the chance to put their questions to officials and governors.

'If you would like to become a member of the trust, have an influence on our plans for the future or just want to learn more about the RD and E then please go along to the Okehampton meeting.'
