LADIES who knit, or enjoy a refreshing cuppa and a chat, are invited to join Princetown Tuesday Group to knit for charity when they restart in September.

The small and friendly group of ladies have seen their knitting travel as far as Romania and to the third world as part of Operation Sunshine, but last month it travelled just down the road to Derriford Hospital?s neonatal intensive care unit.

A package of knitting, including sets of blankets, booties, hats and coats, was collected by Joanna Winterburn, the coordinator of Experience Corps and delivered to the unit.

The ladies are now taking a well-earned summer break, but will meet again on Tuesday September 9 at the Wesley House, Princetown, from 2-3.30pm.

Newcomers are welcome to join them every Tuesday afternoon ? new members do not have to knit, they can come simply for company and a cup of tea or coffee.

Donations of wool, especially 4ply and double knitting in bright colours, are always welcome.

For more information, or a lift to the meetings please contact Pat McDonald on 01822 890448.
