A SINGING session is being held in Okehampton for audiences due to attend a new Christmas musical so they can participate on the night.

The West Devon Music Ministries is a recently formed music group which begins its first performance of ?While Shepherds? Watched? on December 2 at the Octagon Theatre in Okehampton before taking it on a four-date tour around the surrounding area.

The audience will be asked to join in one of the ten songs being performed with children being encouraged to go up on the stage and sing.

But because the young shepherds? song ?We are here to give you praise? is not a well known tune, a practice session is being held on November 7 in Fairplace Church at 6.45pm.

So all mums and dads, grannies and granddads, aunts and uncles, Sunday School teachers and friends are being asked to bring the children along to learn the song.

The musical will involve members from 24 fellowships and churches in West Devon from every denomination.
