FIREFIGHTERS from Chagford, Moretonhampstead, Okehampton and Crediton were called after reports of a combine harvester on fire in a field near Drewsteignton last week.

The harvester's engine compartment was damaged by the fire, which occurred during the afternoon of Wednesday August 10.

The crews used a hose reel, two short extension ladders and a thermal imaging camera to check that the fire was out and the engine cool.
