A VILLAGE quilt depicting scenes and events in Sticklepath set against the background of the River Taw, was unveiled at the village hall last week. A cheese and wine party was held in the village hall on Monday July 18 to celebrate the completion of the quilt. The wall hanging was unveiled by the chairman of the village hall committee, Jerry Stephens, and will be on permanent display in the hall. Work on the quilt was coordinated by Jenny Bowkley and Sue Enderson. The appliqué and embroidery panels were sewn by ladies from the Sticklepath area, several of whom are members of Upcott Quilters.
