South Molton U12s 2 Okehampton U12s 1 THIS was always going to be a difficult match given that South Molton are as yet unbeaten in the league this season. Argyle though played hard and well, right from the start. There was a lot of action at both ends in the first ten minutes or so, ending with a free kick taken by Will Searle, which was headed by Andrew Collier straight into South Molton?s goal, giving Argyle the lead 1-0. Argyle?s defence, who have been playing so well this season, were once again working to great effect. However Argyle?s luck changed when a free kick taken by South Molton, which was brilliantly saved by Argyle?s goalkeeper Will Ingram, ended in a goal for South Molton, as the ball rebounded off the keeper?s hands and was slammed into the net by South Molton. A scramble at the Argyle goal lead to South Molton?s second goal just before half time. In the second half Argyle, with the three subs, Simon Fellowes, Ben Henderson and Bradley Ausden coming on, was on the up, making repeated shots at the South Molton goal, two of which narrowly missed. South Molton remained strong, but saves by Will Ingram and a very good block by Tom Battershall, lead to no more goals being scored. Man of the Match: Andy Collier.
