CALLINGTON Community College received diplomas at a recent award ceremony at St Mellion International Resort.

Polar explorer Ann Daniels was the chief speaker at the event on June 18, celebrating schools working in partnership with businesses.

The college was among 21 receiving the Investors in Work Related and Enterprise Learning diploma, a quality mark awarded by Westcountry Education Business Services.

It recognises achievement by schools and their business partners in bringing the world of work to students as a vital element in their studies.

Among businesses and organisations also receiving certificates were Ginsters, Mole Valley Farmers and Wren Music.
