DUCHY College at Stoke Climsland has been named as one of 11 projects to receive funding in the latest round of grants from The Prince's Countryside Fund.

The college has been awarded a grant of £50,000 over two years, allowing the college and its consortium of 22 food and farming employers in Cornwall and Devon to roll out industry-focused programmes to help over 1,300 local young people in the food and farming sector.

The new funding, amounting to £404,804 was announced to mark National Countryside Week.

It aims to raise awareness of the importance of the countryside to the UK and the serious issues facing rural communities.
