EIGHTEEN Swimmers from Kelly College travelled up to Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield to compete at the Derventio eXcel open meet. From 87 swims, the Kelly swimmers achieved 70 personal best times, of which nine were national qualifying times (nqt) with 17 medals — two gold, nine silver and six bronze and three Kelly College Swim Squad age group records.
National qualifying times were achieved by Charlie Bayliss (1), Matthew Henry (2), George Humphrey (2), Brittaney O'Reilly (1), Lucy Sanderson (2) and Ben Walsh (1).
Medals were won by Matthew Henry (two gold, two bronze), Ben Staig (two silver, two bronze), Brittaney O'Reilly (two silver, one bronze), Lucy Sanderson (three silver), Charlie Bayliss (one silver), Robert Nielsen (one silver), Chloe Barrow (one bronze). Kelly College age group records were swam by Ben Staig (2) and Brittaney O'Reilly (1).
Personal best times were peformed by Chloe Barrow, Charlie Bayliss, Elliot Boon, Josh Boon, Felix Davies, Sophie Hastings, Matthew Henry, George Humphrey, Georgia Jones, Victoria Moore, Robert Nielsen, Brittaney O'Reilly, Mark Sammut, Lucy Sanderson, Ben Staig, Joe Voller, Ben Walsh and Erin Walsh.
