OKEHAMPTON College is following on from a successful year of opening its doors in the evenings to parents/carers and grandparents, with a wide range of free courses to start in September.
Both practical and academic programmes are offered and give an insight into how children are taught in school and also give opportunities to use the outstanding facilities that are available, including the design technology and food technology rooms.
Keith Webber, from the college, said: 'Comments from previous learners have been positive with many new skills gained in a friendly learning environment.
'On some courses, there are opportunities for parents to gain a level one or two Literacy or Numeracy National Test Certificate.
'Students of the college can attend the majority of courses with their parents and this has proved very popular especially with the cooking on a budget, DIY and family first aid courses.
'These programmes are in partnership with Devon Adult and Community Learning and are free, fun and informative.
