The Okehampton Junior League team were at Tiverton Golf Club on Sunday, playing in the Junior League play-off finals. The morning semi final was contested against a strong side from Fingle Glen with the Okehampton team emerging victorious, with a 4-2 win, courtesy of wins from Jonny Rattenbury, Will Searle, Captain Dan Curtis and Adam Clark.
The afternoon's final was played against the team from Exeter, who had narrowly beaten Crediton in an extra hole sudden death playoff. Despite some fine golf and with wins for Robin Grey and Adam Clark and a battling half from Will Searle, Exeter came through 3.5-2.5.
All the matches were played in a great spirit and credit should go to all the juniors who competed and thanks to all who supported all day. Also the club thanked Nick Waldron for all his efforts as junior organiser this year and to all the junior members who have competed throughout another very successful season.
