In the overall BAGCAT points - accumulated over all the events in the championships - Tavistock swimmers were within their age groups as follows:
12 year olds: Sam Broome 16th; Rebecca Mills 17th; Amy Warnett 20th. 13 year olds: Caroline Ball 8th, Christopher Ralph 10th, Nick Jarman 17th. 15 year olds: Richard Freedman 16th, Philippa Smith 19th.
Millfield School's 50m pool was the venue at the weekend for training for the West Devon squad. Caroline Ball, Sam Broome, Rebecca Mills, Philippa Smith and Christoper Ralph travelled to Millfield with head coach Paul Chinn, to meet other members of the West Devon squad for a two-hour training sesssion. It was hard work but both the swimmers and their coach felt they had benefited greatly.
