ON behalf of Okehmpton Rugby Club and through the widely read columns of your newspaper, may I please thank the club members and friends who helped in our efforts to support the Okehampton Hospital Building Appeal.
In normal circumstances our priority is to keep the club financially secure. This does not often offer the opportunity to help others.
However, the case for our hospital is exceptional. Few indeed are those who have not called on their services, which have never been found lacking.
Various events organised by the club have resulted in our pleasure to present the sum of £1,271 toward their expenses.

From our own experiences we are aware how costly projects become.
As a commuinity in our own right, it is pleasing to show we recognise the part we play in the much wider community of Okehampton and district.
All our best wishes are extended to those who are involved with the hospital, another feature of which Okehampton can be truly proud.
